Keith Brooking

​

Graduated from East Coweta High School in 1994. Then played linebacker and became the leading tackler in Georgia Tech history with 467 tackles. Falcons first round draft choice in 1998 and five time pro bowler with Falcons. Played 11 of his 15 years in NFL with Atlanta Falcons. Member of Falcons 1998 Super Bowl team.

 

Julia Emmons

Executive Director of Atlanta Track Club and Director of Peachtree Road Race for 22 years (1985-2006). Grew Peachtree Road Race to 55,000 runners. Started Peachtree Road Race T-Shirt Design Contest in 1995. Directed the Olympic Men’s and Women’s Marathons and Race Walks for the 1996 Games in Atlanta.

Steve Holman

​

The radio voice of the Hawks has never missed a Hawks broadcast since being named the sole broadcaster of the Hawks back in 1989, a span of nearly 2,500 games. Holman also covered the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, calling radio play-by-play action for the USA men’s and women’s Gold Medal basketball teams, as well as boxing.

 

Coach Bob Reinhart

Decatur High School head basketball coach from 1969 until 1983. Won three state championships, went to the state final three other times, and won 57 consecutive games in a stretch from 1981 to 1983.  Spent two years on Mike Fratello’s staff with the Atlanta Hawks before serving nine seasons (1985-1994) as Georgia State’s head coach.  Led Georgia State to their first NCAA Tourney in 1991 and then again in 1994.

 

 

Craig Sager

​

Joined CNN  in Atlanta in 1981 and was co-anchor of the network's  CNN Sports Tonight shows. Won a Cable Ace award in 1985. He also served as the anchor of  College Football Scoreboard from 1982 to 1985. Worked at CNN and TBS for the Goodwill Games, Pan American Games, and 1990 FIFA World Cup. Sager is best known as a sideline reporter for the NBA on TNT  and wearing his trademark colorful suits.
